Our Adventurers Class is made up of children in Year 2 and Year 3. Teaching and learning opportunities in this class allows for consolidation and extension as some children work towards the End of Key Stage One Program of Study and it also prepares children for the next stage in their learning journey as they move into Key Stage Two. We believe that transition between both Year One and Year Two and between Year Two and Year Three is key and staff work closely together throughout the year to enable a smooth and positive move between classes and key stages.

PHONICS SCREENING CHECK
Year 2 children who did not meet the expected standard in the 2022 Phonics Screening Check when they were in Year 1 will be expected to take the statutory check in June 2023. Continued support is in place for any children who did not meet the expected standard in Year 1 to enable them to continue to practice and apply their phonic knowledge in Year 2 and beyond.
